Letter From the President
Welcome to both new and returning Waddell families!
We look forward to a successful 2020/2021 school year for all of our students and staff! While things may be a little different this year as we begin the year with remote learning, our goals remain the same – to assist students and staff by providing support for educational and enrichment needs, to promote open communication between administration, teachers, and parents/guardians, and to encourage Waddell school spirit and pride.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with us, the Waddell PTSO is a volunteer non-profit organization made up of parents, administrators and support staff with a mission to promote quality education for all of our students. We encourage all parents, guardians, grandparents and other family members to join the PTSO and get involved in the wide-variety of cultural and recreational activities that make Waddell such a special community.
While we may not be able to hold many of our annual events in-person this year, we are bound and determined to maintain as many as possible through a variety of creative virtual options! There are so many ways to get involved, from serving as a Room Parent to joining the events “crew” and helping us brainstorm all the new ways to bring our many events to life in this new virtual world. Whatever your interest and time allows, we encourage you to become an active part of our school.
To support our wide-variety of activities, our fundraisers from years past will continue with a virtual Fun Run in October, virtual World Market in December, and the Invest in Your Child (IYC) capital campaign throughout the year. More information on these, as well as a list of all our upcoming activities and PTSO membership link, can be found throughout this webpage. Whether you donate your time, your services, your skills, or your spirit… YOU will be the reason we are successful for our children. Thank you for being a part of the Waddell family and we look forward to seeing you throughout the year.
